106 Quarter Master General 1914
FULLTable 15 5 (5) Quarter Master General  Board Game World War I Michael L. Stultz
Description:Quartermaster General: 1914 is the next title in the critically acclaimed Quartermaster General series by Ian Brody and creates a narrative of the First World War in Europe, reflecting the military, technological, and social changes that occurred over the following four years.

In Quartermaster General: 1914, each card has two different uses: one when played, and another when prepared. On your turn, you have the opportunity to both play and prepare a card. You can also spend cards to draft more troops, or use cards to attrition your opponents. However, your deck represents your overall resources, so moving too quickly through your deck early might result in your unsupported armies being swept away in the final rounds of the game. This is worth it if you can capture Berlin or Paris in 1915, but if your gambit fails, you may have a tough road ahead.

The game ends after 17 rounds of play, or earlier if one side has a commanding lead.
107 SCYTHE w/ Invaders from Afar Expansion.
Table 8 6 (7) Dudes on a Map / Action Selection Board Game Post WWI alternate history Rob Marden
Description:Scythe is an engine-building game set in an alternate-history 1920s period. It is a time of farming and war, broken hearts and rusted gears, innovation and valor. In Scythe, each player represents a character from one of seven factions of who are attempting to earn their fortune and claim their faction's stake in the land around the mysterious Factory. Players conquer territory, enlist new recruits, reap resources, gain villagers, build structures, and activate monstrous mechs.

Each player begins the game with different resources (power, coins, combat acumen, and popularity), a different starting location, and a hidden goal. Starting positions are specially calibrated to contribute to each faction’s uniqueness and the asymmetrical nature of the game (each faction always starts in the same place).

Scythe gives players almost complete control over their fate. Other than each player’s individual hidden objective card, the only elements of luck or variability are “encounter” cards that players will draw as they interact with the citizens of newly explored lands. Each encounter card provides the player with several options, allowing them to mitigate the luck of the draw through their selection. Combat is also driven by choices, not luck or randomness.

Scythe uses a streamlined action-selection mechanism (no rounds or phases) to keep gameplay moving at a brisk pace and reduce downtime between turns. While there is plenty of direct conflict for players who seek it, there is no player elimination.

Every part of Scythe has an aspect of engine-building to it. Players can upgrade actions to become more efficient, build structures that improve their position on the map, enlist new recruits to enhance character abilities, activate mechs to deter opponents from invading, and expand their borders to reap greater types and quantities of resources. These engine-building aspects create a sense of momentum and progress throughout the game. The order in which players improve their engine adds to the unique feel of each game, even when playing one faction multiple times.

Before departing, he demanded to know if the harbor was mined; it was not, but he was assured that it was. After three hours, the flag was still flying and Fox departed to bring in the Force "B" convoy of fourteen troop transports. This gave time for both the Schutztruppe and the citizens of Tanga to prepare for an attack. The German commander, Lieutenant Colonel Paul Emil von Lettow-Vorbeck, rushed to Tanga. It gained its popular name from Sergeant Yakov Pavlov, who commanded the platoon that seized the building and defended it during the long battle. This 4'x8' table features this epic fight in 28mm.

318 The Meuse-Argonne October 1918 - What are Friends For?
FULLTable 10 6 (6) Chain of Command 20mm World War I Phil Hammond
Description:At the start of the Meuse-Argonne Offensive (26th September to 3rd October) things did not go quite as planned for the American Expeditionary Force. A set back at the battle of Montfaucon-d'Argonne which the 37th Division failed to capture was followed by an undersupplied 35th Division barely hanging on in the face of a German counteract stopped by the 110th Engineers, 128th Machine Gun Battalion and Harry Truman’s Battery D, 129th Field Artillery.

Meanwhile, the French 4th Army, who were partnered up on the American left wing, had starting problems of their own (one of the division generals died of a heart attack leading to temporary chaos in command). But for them, the going was better ground wise and they quickly outpaced the AEF leaving a gap between the lines.

At the start of second phase (4th October) elements of the French 4th Army seek to close this gap near the town of Grandpre on the Aisne River. Leaving this gap is an open door for the Boch to exploit. Closing it will build the hinge for the next phase of the operation, the push to the Meuse!

While Grandpre will not show up on any battle list for the 100 day offensive that Meuse-Argonne was part of, it does exist and it is the hinge point on the American/French offensive. A split there would have been a big deal.

This battle will focus on advanced French units trying to secure a ridge on the American flank and a river crossing at Grandpre. All the Germans need to do is get there first and stop the French.

321 Toulon 1793 (Session 1 of 2)
Table 46 2 (7) Toulon 1793 Board Game Napoleonic Michael L. Stultz
Description:Napoleon's First Great Victory game by Andy Loakes

Toulon, 1793 is an operational level wargame for two to seven players, covering the siege of Toulon, in the South of France, between 25 August and 21 December, 1793. It’s area based system covers the entire campaign from the initial landing by Anglo-Spanish forces (at the invitation of the rebel Toulonnaise) through to their evacuation of the town as their ships came under threat from the batteries of the previously unknown Napoleon Bonaparte.

Operation points are at the heart of the system and combined with an innovative combat, loss and movement system generate a vast number of decision points for the players. Chrome comes in the form of spies, gendarmes, multi-national forces (and associated cooperation issues), reconnaissance, variable reinforcements and much more. The game map covers an area from Ollioules in the West to Sollies in the East and from Mount Farron in the North to Cap Cepet in the South.

The game is played in seventeen weekly turns and units range from detatchments to regiments (with battalions and companies dominating the counter mix).

The game is played in seventeen weekly turns and units range from detachments to regiments (with battalions and companies dominating the counter mix).

FULLTable 16 8 (8) Saga/House 28mm Dark Ages Jim Munch
Description:It is 395 A.D., and chaos is the lot of Rome’s western provinces. The coast of Britannia, facing the narrow sea, is beset with constant Saxon raids. The Emperor Theodosius is dead, his son, Honorius, is 10. There is no leadership in Gaul, and Britain seems alone, stripped of most of her troops by Maximus 10 years ago in his bid for the Imperial purple. Small forts, with smaller garrisons, are often all that stand between what remains of Roman civilization in Britain and the barbarians. And the Saxons grow ever more bold… Will aid come or is Roman Britain alone?
